Remember that nice Kellie Martin who played Becca on Life Goes On and later starred in the terribly wholesome Christy? She's joining ER in the fall.
Lucy Knight. Third-year med student. That will be her role.
Martin, who had a family crisis, did not appear before the critics to discuss her place on ER. Executive producer John Wells stepped in to say she will appear in episode No. 1 on Sept. 24.
"She'll step right in. So you'll see a lot of her from the beginning. As we bring new people into the show, they'll almost all be medical students moving through the system to become 'attendings' who are finishing their residency. In doing this, we'll stay true to the way ER was originally conceived."
